Massachusetts has enacted a new net metering law that allows homeowners and businesses to sell solar power generated by its solar power systems to utilities at retail prices.

Oregon State’s Eugene Water and Electric Board (EWEB) has a Solar Electric Program that gives incentives for commercial and residential clients who produces electricity with the use of solar photovoltaic systems.
