Renewable Energy Incentive in Florida
If you're new here, you might want to subscribe to subscribe to email updates or subscribe to this blog in a reader. Thanks for visiting!Choctawhatchee Electric Cooperative (CHELCO) a utility company of northwest Florida is has of recently started offering net metering to residential and commercial customers with photovoltaic (PV) or wind energy systems up to 10 kilowatts (kW) in capacity.
Net metering is the practice of allowing owners of renewable energy sources to automatically sell any excess electricity generated by their solar panels or wind turbines back to the utility company. The advantage of combining renewable energy sources such as solar power and wind turbines with net metering, is staying connected to the electrical grid. This way you avoid having to install battery back-up power for periods when your residential energy production is low, as you can still draw power from the utility company.
Follow the ling for full details of the requirements for CHELCOs net metering program.

Your welcome and thanks for coming by! I will post more here - probably soon.
That is a great system. Both the home owner and the utility company benefit greatly from this arrangement. Plus it helps move us away from our oil dependency.
