Solar Power Farms in New Jersey

In June 2008 the New Jersey Senate passed a bill which allows for “solar farms” to create energy.

Instead of vegetables, these farms consist of fields of solar panels lined up beneath the sun. No worries about grasshoppers devouring this crop. According to the CEO of Solar Works New Jersey, at least 7 farms have been contracted to be built within a year.

Just an update here, I ended up seeing one of these solar farms not too long ago. They are quite the eyesore – the things we do for the environment.
