Ontario aims to phase out its coal power plants within five years according to the Canadian province’s new Green Energy Act. Canada is one of the highest carbon gas contributors among major economies.

Solar power, and other forms of alternative energy, are slowly becoming more mainstream. As technology and public opinion progress, it will become more economically feasible for companies to invest in sustainable energy use.

A unique sports stadium was recently completed in Taiwan, after two years of hard work. It is known as the World Games Stadium, and it gets all its power from solar energy via the photovoltaic panels on its roof. More than 3% of the total power used by the Anheuser-Busch brewery is generated from solar panels erected on six acres of brewery property. These are installed and operated by SunEdison.
